One Year

My family and I have been moving around a lot as we approached my first birthday, and one nice thing about that is I got to have four(!) birthday parties! And, each one had CAKE! First, I celebrated with Martha. Then, I celebrated with Grammy, Aunt Steph, and cousins Parker and Cody. Third, I celebrated with Grandmom and Grandpop. Finally, I got to celebrate on my actual birthday with Sonja, mom and dad. It’s sad I had to say goodbye to people at each one… but it’s nice that I got to eat CAKE!

For my birthday we went to Parque Kennedy to hang out with the cats, then went to a new indoor playground (Yupi) that had a ton of stuff for Sonja and I both. It’s walking distance from our house, so I’m excited to go back often. In the afternoon we went to the park to watch the paragliders, and then finally we got to eat chocolate cake and lemon pie (Happy Pi Day!) and then open presents. Huge shout out to my new classmates at Nido Killa for getting me a lot of amazing gifts.

Please enjoy some photos from my birthday:

Oh yeah, I can walk now

Sonja helped open some of my presents

Trying out some new styles with hairbands

I'm not too sure about this tradition of open flames on PIE. It seems dangerous

Pie de Límon

Frosting is a ton of fun to play with and is also quite delicious

Sonja preferred the chocolate cake, but the lemon pie wasn't so bad either

Wrapping paper is not as good as cake or pie, but you can still eat it

My parents got me these cool alphabet blocks which I used to spell my name
